Sampson County & Regional Art Contest
The theme of the art contest will be “Freedom” as it correlates with the N.C. First in Freedom Festival, meaning the celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday. The submissions must be original 2D work created within the last 12 months using a medium of the artist’s choice with a size not larger than 18”x24” and no smaller than 8”x10”. It must be submitted gallery wrapped and “ready to hang”. Please contact the Sampson Arts Council or the museum for the complete guidelines and an entry form.
CHS Tour
Three classes of Clinton High Students will spend the morning touring the museum., so the museum will be closed to the public during this time (Friday, Nov. 1, 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.)

Airing of the Quilts
The Airing of the Quilts event is held every other year, featuring a wide array of new and antique quilts from Sampson County. Other related activities during the celebration include quilting demonstrations, live music, and refreshments.

Distinguished Speakers Series
The Distinguished Speakers Series is a quarterly program that features a guest speaker presenting topics related to local and regional history. Previous topics have included the Titanic, Holocaust, and local Native American tribes.

Museum Day
As part of the Clinton Square Fair, this open house event held on the 2nd Saturday of each October features a wide variety of craftspeople, live music, and family-friendly activities.
